I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE

One of the best things about being trapped in an infinite time loop is realizing you’ll get to know the same people on a deeper level… forever. So let me share a little about myself now, since you’ll be hearing this again and again anyway.

HI, I'M SOPHIA

I suspected early on that my life would be one long existential headache, but it wasn’t until college that I decided to make it official by studying philosophy and psychology. Some people chase careers that make money or contribute to society; I chose to dive into two fields that specialize in asking questions nobody can answer and diagnosing everyone as miserable anyway. And yes, I turned that into my life’s work—because apparently self-inflicted suffering is my calling

MY STORY

As a shy kid, I didn’t retreat into drawing unicorns or clay models—I retreated into books about why humans are hopelessly confused and miserable. Instead of sketching dragons, I was sketching out existential crises. My introverted nature turned out to be perfect training for philosophy and psychology, two disciplines designed for people who enjoy asking questions with no answers and then writing 400-page books about them anyway.

By the time college forced me to pick a discipline, I doubled down on philosophy (because clearly I hadn’t suffered enough). I’ve never looked back, mostly because the abyss is right in front of me anyway. Now I look forward to sharing my passion for overthinking with you, so together we can watch your optimism shrivel and your critical thinking skills sharpen—like a two-for-one deal at the existential crisis store

WHY DO I TEACH?

My ability to wallow in philosophy and psychology is what forced me to dig deep and discover who I actually am (spoiler: confused, cynical, and overeducated). I can’t imagine where I’d be without these disciplines—probably well-adjusted and making real money, which sounds horrifying.

As I watched people around me struggle to “find themselves” through yoga retreats and overpriced self-help books, I realized my own descent into philosophy could at least inspire others to admit they’re lost, too. Everyone has a philosopher lurking inside them—some of us just need more help dragging that pessimist out by the ankles. For me, watching someone finally realize that happiness is a scam but critical thinking is forever? That’s the best feeling in the world

MY VALUES

Be unapologetically you, because let’s face it, the universe isn’t apologizing for throwing you into existence without instructions. There’s only one you, and philosophy is a great way to uncover that fact, panic about it, and then pretend you’re fine.

I believe that philosophy and psychology don’t exactly make the world a “better place,” but they do force people to confront uncomfortable truths they’d otherwise binge-watch away. And honestly, that’s an improvement. What I really love is taking it a step further: helping other aspiring masochists discover satisfaction in wrestling with questions they’ll never answer. It’s not pretty, but it’s real—and that’s the closest thing to meaning you’re going to get
